In memory of Rafael Morelos, age 14

Rafael Morelos, an openly gay 14-year-old from Washington, took his life last week after relentless bullying for his sexual orientation. 

“He never told me nothing,” said his mother, Malinda Morelos. “He did not tell me he was being bullied. He had a dark side inside him that he never told me his feelings anymore.

“I thought it was just him being a teenager, and I just didn’t know why.”
